Acknowledgements:
Dr. Christine Hawkins:
Dr. Christine Hawkins showed us that even though cancer is one of the biggest killers in our country or a 1st world country, it is not necessarily one of the biggest killers in a 3rd world country. We would like to thank Dr. Christine Hawkins for taking the time to talk to us about her research in relation to cancer and for expressing her views on how to decide which disease to cure first and we wish her all the best for the future.
Dr. Mick Foley:
Dr. Mick Foley showed us how big of a disease Malaria really is and which people are taking action to help cure this disease. He showed us that is a major killer in 3rd world countries but not in 1st world countries. We would like to thank Dr. Mick Foley for taking the time to talk to us about his research in relation to Malaria and for helping us decide which disease we should cure first. We wish him all the best for the future.
Dr. Matt Dixon:
Dr. Matt Dixon showed us the scientific side of the Malaria disease and what his group is doing to help cure the disease. He was nice enough to show us around his lab and even let us look through his expensive microscopes. We would like to thank Dr. Matt Dixon for taking the time to talk to us in relation to Malaria and being kind enough to show us around his lab. We wish him all the best for the future.
Dr. Warwick Grant:
Dr. Warwick Grant showed us the problems and diseases happening in 3rd world countries that could be easily cured in 1st world countries. He also explained that it is not all about the death rate, but the burden the disease has on a person while the person is still alive. We would like to thank Dr. Warwick Grant for taking the time to talk to us in relation to Tuberculosis and Diarrhoea. We wish him all the best for the future.
